Practice Broking
In a recent study conducted by our firm, one of the most significant concerns expressed by practitioners in respect of their departure from their practice was the realisation of the value of their equity. Additionally, with the new financial year just started, some are wondering why they are still in the game.
The market remains strong for those considering a sale, especially in and around the CBD and suburbs in each State. As a result of current demand, prices are generally quite pleasing, although expected to dip once more practices come on the market.
However, securing a good deal will be influenced in part, by the way in which the process is managed, as well as the sale occurring at the optimal time within the succession lifecycle. Remember, the transition period post settlement is often 1 - 2 yrs, with some vendors retained as consultants for longer periods where so desired.
There is presently a number of prospective purchasers eagerly seeking acquisition opportunities. With this in mind, I invite you to give me a call to discuss the possible outcomes of selling your practice.
